Membership Sales Executive
BESA seeks a driven sales professional to convert prospects into members. You’ll manage leads, engage decision makers by phone, build rapport, and drive membership growth and revenue
ABOUT THE ROLE
BESA is seeking a motivated and disciplined sales professional to support the continued growth of the Association by converting prospective companies into BESA members.
You will manage leads from initial contact through to completed membership application. Leads will come from a mix of marketing enquiries, supply chain introductions, targeted prospect lists and referrals.
This is a telephone-led sales role focused on conversion. The successful candidate must be confident speaking with business owners and senior decision makers, capable of building rapport quickly, and able to move opportunities through to a final decision.
The role contributes directly to membership growth and revenue generation for BESA, engaging contractors across a range of subscription bands where BESA membership delivers strong commercial and industry value.
KEY DUTIES
Lead Conversion
• Contact prospective companies to introduce BESA membership and assess suitability.
• Conduct membership discussions with decision makers across the building engineering services sector.
• Clearly communicate the commercial and strategic value of BESA membership.
• Identify the appropriate membership band based on company turnover and guide prospects through the membership process.
• Convert qualified prospects into new BESA members.
Pipeline Ownership
• Manage leads from first contact through to completed membership application.
• Maintain consistent follow-up and relationship management to progress opportunities.
• Support prospects through the application process including documentation, direct debit setup and onboarding steps where required.
CRM Management
• Manage all opportunities within the IMIS CRM system.
• Maintain accurate records of activity, conversations and next steps.
• Ensure all leads and pipeline activity are tracked and reported correctly.
Sales Activity
• Conduct a mix of inbound and outbound sales activity.
• Engage with prospects through telephone, email and LinkedIn where appropriate.
• Maintain consistent pipeline momentum through structured follow-up and relationship management.
ABOUT YOU
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
• Experience in telephone-based B2B sales
• Confidence speaking with senior decision makers
• Ability to manage and close sales opportunities
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while managing a sales pipeline
• Experience using CRM systems
Desirable:
• Experience selling into construction, engineering or trade sectors
• Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator

• Confident and credible on the phone
• Resilient and comfortable working towards targets
• Highly organised and detail oriented
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Salary: £27,000 base + uncapped commission
