The Competence & Compliance Department operates certification and registration schemes for businesses and personnel operating in the building engineering services industry under the following group companies: BESCA Ltd, Engineering SKILLcard Ltd and REFCOM Certification Ltd.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder is responsible to the Customer Engagement Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to provide administration support to ensure the efficient and effective administration of BESCA related activities and other cross scheme duties as defined by the Manager.
We are currently offering both full-time permanent and full-time fixed-term (6-month) positions for this role. The fixed-term option provides an excellent opportunity to make a high-impact contribution in a shorter timeframe, while the permanent position is suited for those looking to build long-term, strategic contributions within the organisation.
Key Duties
- General administrative duties to be carried out to assist the daily running of the BESCA department with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Assessment and renewal of BESA Ventilation Hygiene Register and Competent Person Scheme applications and the issuing of certificates as required.
- Responding to queries by telephone from scheme applicants and members of the public, providing advice and direction as appropriate.
- Month end activities as defined in the procedure manual.
- Maintaining strict service levels; adhering to ISO9001, ISO17965 and UKAS Accreditation.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes - Essential
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook .
- Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
- Customer focused.
- Eager to learn new skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- A respect for confidentiality.
- Self-motivated.
